Mr. Iliyan Ivanov and Ms. Anastasiya Panayotova, co-owners and managers of Cruise.BG are closely connected to the travel and tourism industry since 1992. Both of them have Master's Degrees in International Tourism Administration, as well as specialisation in hotel and restaurant management and marketing at the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, Washington, DC. In 2001 they establish TourMarketing Ltd., the first hospitality management consultant company in Bulgaria. In 2003 they found the National Hospitality Management Club, a Bulgarian national association of owners, executive directors and managers of hotels and restaurants throughout Bulgaria. In 2007 the association, managed by them, wins the "Hermes" Prize for becoming the most successful branch association in Bulgaria, awarded by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They have been singled out with a "Business Ethics Standard" certificate, by the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum. In addition to the rich agenda of activities in the hospitality, travel and tourism sector in Bulgaria, during the years they organise and lead a number of business delegations to the USA, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands.
In 2007 they decide to turn one of their hobbies (sailing) into business and start a new venture. Cruise.BG is one of the first cruise-only agencies in Bulgaria, as well as the first yacht charter agency for Bulgarian clients. Cruise.BG is the first (and up so far the only one) company with trained and accredited experts by the Association of Cruise Experts, UK. In 2009 they found the Bulgarian Cruise Society as a social melting pot for cruise travellers, sharing experiences and emotions, gathered across the oceans, seas and rivers of the world.
Ms. Denitsa Simeonova, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism joins the team in 2009. The following year she completes a cruise industry specialisation at the Association of Cruise Experts in the UK and becomes an accredited cruise expert.
